The thermosiphon system is a passive solar water heating technology that uses natural convection to circulate water between a solar collector and a storage tank, without requiring a pump or electricity.
How It Works Solar Collector:
The solar collector, usually installed on a roof, absorbs sunlight and heats the water inside the tubes or channels. This water becomes less dense as it heats up. Natural Convection:
The heated water rises naturally due to its lower density and moves into the storage tank located above the collector. Cooler, denser water from the bottom of the storage tank flows down into the collector, replacing the hot water. Continuous Cycle:
This natural circulation continues as long as there is sunlight, keeping the storage tank supplied with hot water.
